Alec Baldwin Kicked Off American Airlines Flight, Allegedly Won't Stop Playing 'Words With Friends'
American Airlines Gives Alec Baldwin the Boot
Traveling can be a hassle these days, but for actor Alec Baldwin it's proven to be a true nightmare. Baldwin was reportedly kicked off an American Airlines flight yesterday after refusing to turn off his mobile device before the plane departed. The unpleased30 Rockstar took to Twitter to vent, tweeting: "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt."
American Airlines fired back on Facebookto tell their side of the story. The airline cited FAA regulations, claiming that all electronic devices must be turned off once the airplane doors are shut and the seatbelt light is on. (This rule not only applies to take-off but also for taxi-out.) According to AA, not only was the passenger refusing to follow orders, but he was rude to the crew and using offensive language.
